Mellowtrees is a self-contained, one bedroom mid-century apartment, just an eight-minute drive from Salamanca and Hobart City and walking distance to the river and shops. Meticulous attention has been given to the recent refurbishment to reflect its 1950's heritage. Situated in a leafy Sandy Bay lane, Mellowtrees is built within an architect designed 1950s house. The house featured on the cover of Home Beautiful magazine in 1951 and many of the original features have been retained within the apartment. The new kitchen is fully equipped with quality appliances. The sitting/dining room is stylish with a comfy sofa and rocking chair and a glowing gas fire. The bedroom looks onto the garden and has the original 1950's dressing table and wardrobe. Quality white bed linen and electric blanket make for a restful night's sleep. The luxury bathroom has a mosaic-tiled floor, original pedestal basin, a big bath, separate shower, towels and toiletries.
