The accommodation at the Castle has been refurbished. The rooms have been tastefully decorated with older style furniture blended with modern facilities including DVD player, television and bar fridge. Guests have access to a veranda where they can relax and take in views across the town park. The private bathrooms blend luxury with utility and soft thick bathrobes provided for guests.
Besides standard pub fare, the menu includes specials such as Moroccan lamb tagine and own smoked trout nicoise salad. The cosy dining room is open from Monday to Sunday for lunch, evenings on Friday and Saturday. Wednesday is Pizza Night. In-house guests are catered for at all times.
Bothwell is a classified historic town and a gateway to Tasmania's Central Highlands and Great Lake District. Local attractions include The Nant Distillery, trout fishing, Australian golf museum and Australia's oldest golf course.
