The rooms are certainly dated but comfortable, warm and very, very clean. Be aware you will probably need to drive into Katoomba itself. However, the motel provides numbers for taxis and the fare is only $10-$12 each way. Leura, with its excellent restaurants, is very close - again probably a $12 taxi ride. Staying here is a good way to save money you can spend on eating out and shopping in the district. Don't miss the Blue Mountains Cultural Centre in Katoomba. It's a great space.
