In 2016, Bard On The Beach (BOTB) will be presenting William Shakespeare's powerful and thought provoking The Tragedy of Hamlet, and the black comedy Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead, by Tom Stoppard.
They are proud of their Sydney summer experience: classical theatre as it was meant to be: raw, traditional, honest and entertaining, and all while you picnic under the stars as the waves roll nearby. There really is no other theatre company like this.
There are two new venues around Sydney in 2016, and an inaugural collaboration with Spectrum Now Festival in conjunction with The Sydney Morning Herald and ANZ.
The season begins at Balmoral Beach Band Rotunda, running Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights. Then on to Dunbar Park, Avalon, in March, and to The Greek Theatre, Addison Road Community Centre, Marrickville, after that.
