Oatlands Retreat

Oatlands Retreat offers affordable self-contained, modern and quaint accommodation in Oatlands, in Tasmania's South. Oatlands Retreat is located in the main street within walking distance to all town attractions. We are pet and family friendly. Oatlands Retreat offers two bedrooms, a large bathroom, kitchen, a lounge/dining area and a lovely stone courtyard garden. Eight people are accommodated with two double beds, bunk beds and a sofa bed. Full breakfast provisions are included so you can cook yourself bacon and eggs for a country breakfast. There is a Laundromat at the front on-site, and safe two car parking facilities within high gates and fences. Oatlands boasts a large collection of colonial sandstone buildings in a village environment, many of which are now businesses such as antiques, candy stores, bakeries, craft, hotels, pancake parlour, restaurants and cafes. Watch flour being milled at the third oldest mill in Australia, "Callington Mill". Developed as a military base for managing convicts between Hobart and Launceston, much of Oatlands was built by convict labour.
