Wayatinah Lakeside Caravan Park is located in Tasmania's Central Highlands between Ouse and Tarraleah. The park is situated beside Wayatinah Lagoon and surrounded by native bush on three sides. It has 50 campsites and 12 powered sites.
Wayatinah Lagoon offers good fishing and boating, with boat launching, picnic, and barbecue facilities.
Platypus and waterbirds abound in the lake beside this peaceful highland caravan park. Other wildlife often emerge from the bush. Wildflowers make a lovely display in spring and summer.
It might be far from anywhere in this once Hydro- Tasmania village, but there is a heated swimming pool and children's pool, a tennis court, football area and cricket pitch. Nearby you'll find a golf course, squash courts, and tavern and store with fuel.
Showers are $1 and washing machine and dryer use are charged at $3.
Camp fees are $10 per adult per night, $5 per child (5 to 15) per night, power $5 per site, if needed, per night.
This is a no frills, fun place to stop....
