Sometimes family stories leap out of hidden corners begging to be told. After the death of a family member, the opening of an old trunk reveals an unused trousseau; stored clothing, spanning a century; layered between fragile tissue paper, the silks and satins revealed more than fine needlework, as the threads of a life unravelled before us.
