Walk through this 'moonscape' to see the power of Mother Nature at work among the shifting sands. Located in the Byfield National Park, the Queen Mary Track offers spectacular coastal scenery, remote camping spots and an endless stretch of rolling sand dunes.
You'll find this track at the southern end of Nine Mile Beach. The highlight is definitely the Queen Mary - the largest active sand blow in the region with scenery that could be likened to the surface of the moon. Walk to the edge of this natural wonder to enjoy the view. The track entrance is 9.9 kilometres south of Nine Mile Beach Access Track/Junction 19.
Allow yourself two hours to complete this moderate grade track and remember that the route is only marked from the beach to the base of the sand blow....
