Central Greenough Historic Settlement

The Central Greenough Historic Settlement is a historic village that has been beautifully preserved and captures the essence of life in the 1800s. Entry is via the old store which is now the Cafe, Visitor Centre and gift shop, where you can collect a visitor guide on arrival and walk through the village, learning about the significance of each building along the way. The selection of buildings includes two churches, a convent, presbytery, school, courthouse, goal and community hall where the old time dances are still held today. Once you have completed the walk, return to the cafe to enjoy the ambience of this historic town for tea, coffee, cake and light meals, and enjoy browsing through the selection of souvenirs and gift ideas in the gift shop. Greenough is a four and a half hour drive north of Perth, and is unlike any other historic town in Australia due to its exceptional preservation.
