Ellenborough Falls is located on the Bulga Plateau at Elands, one hour's drive north-west of Taree on Tourist Drive 8, and are a spectacular site. At 200 metres, it is one of the longest single drop waterfalls in the Southern Hemisphere.
A timbered walkway (641 steps) wends to the bottom of the falls, complete with rest spots, providing a comfortable 30 minute walk. There is also a 10 minute walk to The Knoll which has magnificent views looking directly across to the falls.
You can drive from Wingham to the falls in approximately 45 minutes, however there are 15 kilometres of unsealed road from Bobin to the falls so please drive to the conditions of the unsealed road.
Please note that load limits have been imposed on two bridges between Wingham and Marlee. These limits are 12 tonnes on the Duffs Bridge and eight tonnes on the Marlee Bridge.
