The Crookwell Wind Farm is located five minutes drive from the heart of Crookwell. The wind farm consists of eight wind turbines and was the first grid connected wind farm in Australia when built by Pacific Power in 1998. The turbines are only 45 metres high. Improvements in technology mean the newer turbines are 145 metres high, making these look very small.
