Take in the stunning reflections of twisted paperbarks and bloodwood trees in the tannin-stained waterways of the upper Noosa River. The Cooloola section of the Great Sandy National Park is home to scenic waterways, loads of birdlife and some great walking trails including the Kinaba Track.
This 12.2 kilometre trail leaves from Elanda Point and will allow you to explore a range of environments - from cabbage palm wetlands to regrowth forests. It's a moderate grade trail that will take you about 4.5 hours to complete. When you reach the Kinaba Information Centre be sure to take the self-guided boardwalk through the mangroves.
